Dozens of police cars are in the area of Seabourne Road and Southbourne Grove says Paula. Slight exaggeration! Saw around 5 or 6 at 12-45. Didn't think we had so many in the whole of Dorset

Heqader "Attempted robbery at Natwest in Southbourne"
I thought every time a customer walked into any of the Banks anywhere this happened - to the customer.

Mugs who bank with NatWest would be largely mugging themselves, as the bank is nearly 60% owned by the taxpayer.

My neighbour was there at the time and allegedly a distinctly 'shifty' character with a Polish accent was hanging around the grove then at exactly midday went into Natwest. Came out about 30-40 seconds later, ran across the road and down the access road behind the shops. Was then seen getting into a black VW golf with Polish number plates. A silver BMW 5 or 7 series saloon possibly also involved. drove towards cliff top and was last seen near spyglass and kettle. I came down through ringwood at 1pm and the area had police in several places, I presume looking out for suspect vehicle leaving the area.
That is my bank and i know the staff so i hope everyone is ok. Shame people seem to keep trying to target a nice area. My house price is no doubt affected each time the crime rate statistic is updated! Hope the scum are caught!
