CCTV has been released following an attempted robbery at a shop in Boscombe.

The incident happened at Boscombe Stores in Christchurch Road near Boscombe Precinct shortly before 11.45pm on Wednesday, January 17.

It was reported that an unknown man entered the store, walked behind the counter and demanded money from the till.

The owner managed to push the man out of the shop without anything being stolen.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his 40s, with short brown hair and stubble.

He wore a blue Adidas hooded jumper with three white stripes on the arms, dark blue jeans and black Adidas shoes.

Police have now released CCTV images of the man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

Detective Constable Hannah Brackstone, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone who recognises this man, or who has any information about the incident, to contact police immediately.”
