BURGLARS who rammed a New Forest shop with a Land Rover left the burnt-out car in a Christchurch village.
SPG Mowers in Shirley Holms Road, Boldre was raided at 2.45am on Friday, February 23. The offenders - three men who wore dark clothing and kept their faces covered - smashed a green Land Rover with a white or beige roof into metal shutter doors to force their way into the building.
A total of 16 chainsaws with an estimated value of £8,200 were stolen from inside.
The vehicle involved was later discovered in Burton. It had sustained fire damage.
A spokesperson from Hampshire police called for anyone offered a brand new Echo or Husqvarna chainsaw for sale to get in touch on 101 quoting 44180071186.
