POLICE have released a woman without charge following her arrest in connection with an alleged robbery at a home in Christchurch.

It was reported that a woman aged in her 80s had been tied up and robbed in her home.

Cash and jewellery were taken from the address.

An investigation was launched after the incident in the Oak Avenue area on the morning of Wednesday February 1 2017.

A 32-year-old Bournemouth woman was arrested on suspicion of robbery on Saturday February 18 2017 and has now been released without charge.

Efforts are continuing to locate a male suspect in the case and the investigation is ongoing.
