A MAN has appeared before Bournemouth magistrates charged with two separate robberies - one of which allegedly involved two people being badly injured.

Raphael Joseph, 40, of no fixed abode, is accused of robbery and possessing a bladed article in a public place at Borthwick Road in Boscombe on January 20.

He also stands accused of another count of robbery at an address in Corhampton Road, Bournemouth, on January 21. He faces two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possessing a knife in a public place, and possessing an offensive weapon - an iron bar - in a public place, all relating to the same address on the same date.

Joseph has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on February 16.

No pleas were entered to any of the charges.
