POLICE are investigating a spate of burglaries to hairdressers in Bournemouth.

Between Friday, April 8 and Thursday, June 30 Dorset Police have received reports of six burglaries to hairdressers, which they believe are linked.

The Hair Stop in Wimborne Road, Winton, was hit twice by thieves.

During the first incident at 12.07am on Friday, April 8, offenders smashed a large glass panel in the front door and stole money from the till.

On the second occasion, which took place around 4.44am on Thursday, June 30, nothing was stolen but damage was caused to the front door Offenders also forced their way into Annie's Saloon in Wimborne Road around 4.30am on Friday, April 8, but nothing was stolen.

Around 1am on Friday, April 22, entry was gained to Castle Lane Barber Shop in Castle Lane West. Money was stolen from the till and a significant amount of damage was caused to the shop front window.

A till was stolen from GKB Barbers in Winton at around 1.48am on Tuesday, April 26. The offenders created a small hole into the window in order to gain entry.

Then on Monday, June 27 Dorset Police received reports of an attempted break-in around 1am at Mirage Hair & Beauty Salon in Wimborne Road, Winton.

No arrests have been made in relation to these incidents.
