POLICE are investigating after a teenager was grabbed from behind and dragged to the ground while walking through Wimborne.
The incident happened at around 10.25pm on Sunday, March 20.
A local 18-year-old was pushing his bicycle along Brookside Road when he was grabbed from behind and dragged to the ground.
The victim managed to break free and cycle home. He did not see the offender.
Police Constable Garry Weston, of East Dorset Police, said: “This was a frightening and unprovoked attack and I am appealing to anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously in the area at the relevant time to please call me on 101.
“This is an isolated incident and I would urge anyone who might know who was responsible to get in touch.”
No arrests have been made.
