A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a hit and run crash last week.
Dorset Police were called to the junction of Queen’s Road and Norwich Avenue West in Bournemouth at 10.36pm on Friday, August 29, following reports that a woman had fallen out of a moving car.
Witnesses reported that the woman was flung some 12 feet from the vehicle – a red Rover hatchback.
A spokesman said: “The car then collided with another vehicle and was reported to have reversed over the victim, a 25-year-old woman from Poole, before leaving the scene.”
The woman, who was taken to Poole Hospital, suffered a broken ankle.
The 28-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested shortly after the incident and has been released on bail until early November, pending further enquiries.
