THE Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines and Army will all be checking in for service at this Bournemouth Air Festival.

From tanks, assault courses, bands and climbing walls to aircraft, ships, beach assaults and the chance to sample military rations, Bournemouth seafront is set to be jam-packed with forces displays and hands-on interaction.

The Royal Navy is bringing RFA Mounts Bay, which will be receiving daily visitors for the duration of the air festival - August 20 to 23.

Tickets are available from the Royal Navy village from 10am.

The Royal Marines will be carrying out beach assaults onto Bournemouth beach on Saturday and Sunday And the RAF and Army will have a whole host of activities and displays in their villages and camps.

On Thursday at 9.30pm, in aid of Help for Heroes, the Air Festival plans to stage a Guinness world record attempt to launch 110,000 fireworks in 60-seconds or less. For more information visit roar-on-the-shore.co.uk
