UPDATE: The Typhoon has been cancelled along with the Otto Helicopter & The Fireflies. Flying will continue on Sunday.

The Night Air concerts are also off tonight but the firework display will go ahead as planned at 10pm.

Bournemouth Air Festival say: "Due to the exceptionally high winds forecasted, we can confirm we are stopping this afternoon's air display. However there is still lots to see and do at the event.

"We are hoping that, subject to wind conditions easing, to provide a night air display. We are however not expecting any displays before 5pm.

"Yesterday's exceptionally high water levels are known to have damaged the beach stage areas, so with the more severe storm conditions forecast for today, the decision has been taken to cancel the ticketed 'Sunsets on the Beach' at Boscombe Pier and the evening entertainment on the stage at Bournemouth in the interests of public safety.

"As a result of this advance cancellation, ticket holders will be contacted in the next few days once the insurance company has been consulted".
