A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was punched in the head in a “callous attack” when a gang robbed him of his mobile phone.
The youngster was left “very shaken” and injured after being robbed in Poole High Street before the group fled in different directions.
Det Con Matt Manners said the teen-ager was robbed near The Globe Café.
He said: “This callous attack has left a young man very shaken, and he is extremely lucky to have only sustained minor injuries.
“This incident happened in an area of Poole that is frequented at all times of the day and night by members of the public, and it is likely somebody may have information.”
Two of the offenders are aged in their late teens and wearing tracksuit bottoms and baseball caps.
Anyone with information about the robbery at 10pm on Friday, October 5, are urged to call Dorset Police on 101.
