Come to Verwood's party to celebrate Darren Kenny's Paralympic success
A PARTY is being planned in Verwood this weekend to celebrate the success of Darren Kenny OBE at the London Paralympic Games.
Ferrets Green will provide the setting for celebrations on Saturday after Kenny secured silver and bronze medals at the Games. Local residents are being invited to toast the success of the inspiring road and track racing cyclist who has been involved in cycling since childhood and started racing at the age of 11.
Sporting star Kenny, who was born in Salisbury and lives in Verwood with his family, has been struggling with injury this year.
