IF you were unfortunate enough to suffer a medical emergency, then a hospital would be the ideal place to be when it happened.
But in the case of one Dorset woman, a vet’s surgery was the next best thing.
Today, the Daily Echo reports how Jane Gale was taking her pet rabbit Musty to the vet when Jane suffered a heart attack in the car outside the surgery.
Enter receptionist Sue Kennell, who was trained in first aid. She promptly administered CPR for the first time in 30 years – and it made all the difference.
Sue rightly says it would be a good idea for everyone to learn CPR. Even if you go years without having to employ it, you never know when you might be called upon to put it to good use.
Jane’s husband tells that without doubt, Sue saved a life. And who can possibly boast of a bigger achievement than that?
