A MAN has been jailed for ten years for grievous bodily harm and false imprisonment after attacks during one night in March.
Scott Mackenzie, right, a 23-year-old from Salisbury, assaulted two men and held another against his will under the threat of a knife – at three separate locations in Gillingham on Sunday, March 11, 2012.
The victim of his last attack, a 20-year-old man from Gillingham, sustained multiple wounds when he was stabbed by Mackenzie while in bed.
Mackenzie was arrested later that morning and charged after a police investigation. He was found guilty of grievous bodily harm and false imprisonment at Dorchester Crown Court and sentenced to ten years imprisonment.
Detective Sergeant Luke Willcock, of Western CID, said: “Mackenzie’s behaviour was despicable – not only did he cause serious injury, he also terrorised those he came in contact with.
“It was fortunate that the victim of the stabbing did not suffer life threatening injuries – the outcome of this attack could have been far worse.
