A YOUTH football club has stressed it is unaffected by an altercation that saw two adult footballers suffer stab wounds.
Bournemouth Youth Poppies spoke out after the two footballers were arrested after an incident at the team’s Victoria Park ground in Winton earlier this month.
Chairman Ron Painter said: “Bournemouth Youth Poppies would like to make it clear that this was a separate, contained incident involving two players in the adult senior team and had no bearing, affect or influence whatsoever on our youth football teams.
“I would like to reassure all youth players, parents, relatives and friends that we will continue to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our boys and girls to grow in their footballing activities and endeavours.”
