EVEN to the untrained eye, it’s obvious that some murder inquiries are rather more complicated than others.
That’s clearly the case with the killing of Reece James Menzies, who was shot dead in a flat in Boscombe two weeks ago.
Behind the scenes, there are multiple strands to the police inquiry being carried out by Dorset’s Major Crime Investigation Team.
But as we report today, detectives believe the key to solving the crime lies in Bournemouth rather than anywhere else.
That too, may sound obvious given that this was where the murder was committed, but in view of some of the speculation surrounding the case, it isn’t. Whatever the motive, whatever the spark for this killing, those who have any information should come forward with it.
That’s important to the inquiry but also to Boscombe beginning to put this shocking incident behind it.
