A team of fundraisers got on their bikes to boost the coffers of the Bournemouth-based Youth Cancer Trust .
The six employees from the direct sales and operations department at LV= took on the London to Paris Cycle Ride after selecting the organisation, which provides activity holidays to young people living with cancer, as its charity for the year.
Dan Barfoot, one of the team who took on the challenge, said: “It was pretty hairy at times, but when we saw the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower we all smiled, as we knew we’d made it.
“Although the journey and the weather were challenging, the Youth Cancer Trust crew and team spirit pulled us through some difficult times. I’d like to congratulate all those who took part and thank all those who provided their support.”
The team of LV= fundraisers, led by Kelly Rogers, have also organised a Summer Party event with live music, BBQ and a fundraising auction on Friday August 24 at Centre Stage at the Pig & Whistle in Queens Road. Tickets are £10 from Kelly Rogers on 01202 542632 or email Kelly.Rogers@lv.com
