HIGHCLIFFE Junior Choir has rounded off its academic year on a high after scooping third place in a prestigious competition.
The choir competed against choirs from the UK, United States, Ukraine and South Africa at the Llangollen International Eis-teddfod in Wales.
It was described as a “dream come true” for members, and also marked the end of Nathaniel Brawn’s first year as musical director.
The choir also had time to meet up with Ryan Gardner, who took part in the Olympic Torch Relay as it passed through Wales.
Ryan is the great-grandson of a past host family of the choir.
New members are currently being sought for the choir. For further details call Len Hatchard on 01425 276994.
