THE theatre in Boscombe ’s refurbished Shelley Manor is to host a production of Mozart’s opera Cosi Fan Tutte.

‘Dorset Corset’ is staging the work, which will be sung in Italian and set in a Second World War Italian village.

Philip Proctor, who is the director of site developer Charles Higgins, said: “It’s a great first for the Shelley.

“Dorset Corset has recruited excellent professional international singers to maintain their high standards.

“We will be inviting the audience to dress in period 1940s or dinner jackets.

“The theatre and foyer will be dressed in period with the help of theatre students at Bournemouth University who have designed the staging and costumes.”

Charles Higgins wants the theatre to eventually be managed by a company and used on a regular basis.

The performances are at 7.30pm on October 5, 6, 12 and 13 and tickets, priced £30, are available on 0844 576 4500.
