March: Delays to opening of bridge because of a crack in the road surface and an issue over a warranty agreement on a shock absorber in the lifting gear. Resurfacing carried out.
April 4: Bridge opens. Problems with the operating systems lead to seven lifts being cancelled.
April 25: Bridge closed all night to address “teething problems”.
April 27: Problems with the hydraulics cause six cancelled lifts in a single day.
May: Power failure, repeated barrier issues, continuing problems with the operating system and hydraulics cause repeated hold-ups for traffic, including a total of three hours 25 minutes on May 21 and more than four hours on May 22.
