OUR day is nearly here.
The Olympic Torch arrives in Dorset today.
Tomorrow it will be in Poole and Bournemouth before leaving the county from Christchurch on Saturday morning.
By any measure, the relay, which started several weeks ago in Cornwall, has been a huge success.
Crowds have lined the streets where-ever the torch has been and plenty of excitement and interest generated.
That has in large part been because of the inspirational stories of many of the torch bearers - some of them heroes in their own communities.
Now it’s our turn to enjoy this big build up to the Olympics.
Let’s hope the weather holds and that local people come out in force to see the torchbearers enjoy their moment in the Olympic spotlight.
It promises to be a great community event and we should be proud of them.
