A SHOP was stripped of its alcohol licence following allegations the licence holder hit a customer with a cricket bat.
Bournemouth council’s licensing committee took the decision after hearing an application by Dorset Police.
Bulent Bulbul is the premises licence holder of Crescent Food Hall at 493-495 Christchurch Road in Boscombe.
The Daily Echo has reported how he was accused of attacking a young man with a cricket bat in a row over the sale of cigarettes.
The police report, which was due to be considered by the council’s licensing board, states that the incident happened during the afternoon of April 13.
The press and public were excluded from the hearing but the council has confirmed the result.
Attempts to contact Mr Bulbul have been unsuccessful.
