A GROUP of 12 female DJs and restaurant staff will be running together in the Race for Life on Sunday.

Tori Byrnes, 28, has pulled together staff from Coriander Mexican Restaurant, and the DJ collective, FRAU, that she is part of, in the hope of raising as much money as possible.

The ladies have already beaten their £1,000 target and are still looking to raise more.

She said: “My mum passed away with throat cancer last year and that is my reason for doing this.

She added: “I did the Race for Life last year and I thought it was nice, but it would be better if it was done as part of a group.

“A lot of voices speak louder than one, and 12 girls are going to reach out to more people.

“Cancer affects everyone, nobody can say that they haven’t been affected by it and that’s why it’s really important to do something like this, a positive thing, to help out.”

Coriander Mexican Restaurant will be giving 50p from every shot of Tequila Rose sold directly to Cancer Research UK.
