A RAIDER carried out a suspected acid attack on a dog rescue charity’s van.

Founder Jen Emery discovered every panel of her Comfycare van had been doused in a corrosive material.

But the 45-year-old from Bournemouth said: “It looks awful – but it’s made me more determined to carry on.”

She discovered the damage at her Ensbury Park home on Bank Holiday Monday.

Jen believes the damage was done by someone with a grudge, rather than a random attack, but said police do not have the evidence to prosecute.

Her daughter Sophie Taylor, 20, a health care assistant, also had her Renault Clio damaged.

Jen said: “My husband said it wasn’t paint stripper because that takes a couple of hours.

“This did it straight away and burned down to the metal.

“I have broad shoulders but it does make me worry about my family because of what happened to Sophie’s car.

“I am going to carry on and not let this stop me.”

Comfycare specialises in taking rescue dogs from Ireland and rehoming them in Dorset and the New Forest.
