A MAN appeared in court yesterday accused of trying to murder a woman and her young daughter.
Roger Weir, 45, spoke only to confirm his name and home address of Slough Lane, Poole.
Southampton Magistrates Court was told that the alleged incident took place last Sunday in Alexander Square, Eastleigh, between 11pm and midnight.
Weir was led from the dock in handcuffs and will appear at Winchester Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on June 12.
