A FIRE in a tumble dryer left a home in Christchurch smoke damaged on Friday evening.
Fire crews from the town and Springbourne were called to Troak Close at 8.50pm to find the house unoccupied. The occupier returned a few moments later and let firefighters in.
The fire was traced to an electrical fault in the dryer. Volunteers with the Red Cross helped the occupier.
