THE coffers of the Youth Cancer Trust have been boosted to the tune of £5,000 thanks to a joint donation.
Poole Lions Swimarathon presented a cheque to the Bournemouth-based charity, which offers holidays for young people with cancer, in conjunction with Poole Bay Rotary and Poole Soroptomists.
Derek Smith, events manager for the charity, said: “Thank you to everyone who organised, supported and took part in the Swimarathon. The £5,000 will pay for 10 young cancer patients to enjoy support and an activity holiday at Tracy Ann House in Bournemouth.”
