Parent and PTA chair Matt Fairbairn said: “Since Kate arrived the amount of staff and parent support has gone up and the school has improved no end. I would recommend it to anyone.”

Cindy Harris, who has children in years 2 and 6, said: “We looked at all the schools in the area and this one felt right for us. It has a whole new lease of life and my children are very happy here.”

Infant leader Cheryl Ponsford said: “It is the best school I’ve been in for team effort. There’s been a shift in parent support and everyone is working as a team with no divisions.”

Year 1 teacher Gilly Stewart said: “It is a fantastic place. Everyone wants children to enjoy learning and we encourage them. We offer a fantastic education here.”

Adam Rogers, 7, in Year 2, said: “I love it here. My favourite things are the head teacher and all the other teachers because they do really good lessons. I like maths and literacy.”

Kayleigh Burgess, 12, a Year 7 pupil said: “There are too many good things at this school to name them all. I especially like science because we go to the lab to do practicals. I will be sad to leave.”
