HE was given a fitting send off by his family and friends.

Two weeks after his death, young Kyle Rees, made the final journey, from St Andrew’s Church in Bennett Road to a private committal at Bournemouth Crematorium.

The victim of a tragic accident in the grounds of his school, Kyle was a kind, caring, young man and his tragically early passing is a salutary reminder for all of us how life sometimes hangs by the merest thread.

The words ‘Son’ and ‘Kyle’ were among the floral tributes placed alongside the coffin.

His mum Tanya and dad John yesterday had to do what no parent should ever have to experience.

But they will forever cherish the 16 years of his life that they were able to enjoy. His memory will be a huge source of comfort.

Kyle’s school friends will pay their own tribute to him at a special service at Portchester on Monday.
