A COLLISION between a car and a lorry caused miles of tailbacks on the A31 this morning.
The incident took place on the eastbound carriageway between Picket Post and Stoney Cross just before 10.15am this morning and ended up blocking one lane.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said the car collided with the central reservation before hitting the lorry sideways on.
The female driver of the car escaped with minor injuries and is being treated for shock and back pain.
Traffic was queuing for more than four-and-a-half-miles due to the blocked carriageway.
