A LARGE 31ft yacht was destroyed after a fire in North Dorset on Tuesday night.
The blaze took place in fields off the A354 between Tarrant Hinton and Pimperne around 10.20pm.
A retained crew from Blandford attended and found the yacht on fire to the rear of barns at the site.
A second crew was requested along with a water appliance which also came from Blandford. The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and was out by 10.59pm.
Fire crews remained at the scene until around 11.45pm.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
