A MUM of six with a life-limiting illness is calling on people to join a campaign to find her missing cats.

Bearwood resident Jenny Lane, 43, fears beloved pets Teddy and Missy have been stolen and dumped as they disappeared within days of each other.

Mrs Lane, who’s been told she will not live past 50 due to a cyst pressing on her spinal column, said: “My youngest son’s just turned nine.

“When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday. he said ‘I want them home’.

“He wakes up every morning asking if we are going to get them home.”

Dorset Police and the RSPCA have been informed, and posters have been put up across the conurbation and online.

People have reported spotting Missy in Ringwood and Teddy, both four, in the Bourne Nature Reserve.

Bands of family friends have been leafleting and search areas after possible sightings.

The cats are not microchipped as they were mainly house cats.

Mrs Lane, who is in a wheelchair, said: “They’re constantly on our minds. When we do sleep we have nightmares about them.

“I cannot work or do a lot of things. The cats would just come and sit with me and cuddle.

“It helped just having them as company and I would talk to them when I was feeling down.”

Her husband Mark, 46, also cannot go out searching for the animals as he is permanently on crutches following an accident 15 years ago.
