FIRE and rescue crews battled for nearly an hour to release two people trapped in a car after a crash.
Emergency services were called to Kinson Road in Bournemouth at 1.15pm yesterday after the accident, involving a green Honda estate which landed on its side and a private ambulance.
Fire crews from Redhill Park and Westbourne used hydraulic cutting equipment to release two elderly occupants of the Honda, which was registered to a man from Somerset. One of the injured was a woman in her 80s.
A spokesman from the ambulance service said a doctor attended the incident to help treat patients at the scene before they were taken to Poole Hospital for further treatment.
The road was closed at its junctions with Columbia Road and Kingswell Road and the local council cleared debris from the road.
