THE Purbeck accountant who set out to complete a trio of marathon distances in just three days has already smashed his charity target fourfold.

Tim Evans walked the challenging 78-mile Dorset coastal route last month.

The 47-year-old took on the task in a bid to raise £1,000, to split between Weymouth Riding for the Disabled Association and the Robert Levy Foundation.

Currently, he’s made £1,800 for the Weymouth charity and the £2,200 raised for the Robert Levy Foundation will help bring an end to knife crime in London.

Tim, of Stoborough, near Wareham, said: “I was pushed along Chesil Beach by winds of up to 70mph, then on the second day I saw a beautiful sunrise at Portland Bill.
