THE Daily Echo’s last book celebrating our stunning local scenery was the bestselling book in Bournemouth last year.

Now you have a chance to have your photo of Dorset published in our next superb volume.

And you can also win £100 of vouchers for photographic equipment from Castle Cameras.

The Daily Echo has teamed up with the Dorset Echo and Castle Cameras to launch a great photo competition for readers to send in the finest pictures they have taken of Dorset’s charming landscapes and stunning seascapes.

The best eight will be published in the Daily Echo and Dorset Echo and put to a public vote.

The photographer who takes the picture which is then voted the best by readers will win a first prize of £100 worth of Castle Cameras vouchers and will have their picture included – with their byline (and web address if requested) – in the book.

The best of the other entries may also be included in the next Echo book.

The Echo’s last book, Dorset and the New Forest: A Photographic Journey beat rivals including Lorraine Pascale’s Home Cooking Made East, Bill Bryson’s At Home, David Nicholls’s One Day and Linda Collister’s The Great British Bake-Off to top the Waterstone’s Castlepoint 2011 bestseller list. And our next book of Dorset photographs will not only feature the beautiful views of the county but will also have a special section featuring the Olympic sailing events taking place at Weymouth and Portland.
