AMBITIOUS young business leaders of the future are being urged to enrol on an exciting new course inspired by Dragon’s Den guru Peter Jones.
Bournemouth and Poole College is one of the venues chosen to host courses run by the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.
Fans of The Apprentice, The Young Apprentice and Dragon’s Den will have a good idea what’s going to be expected of them.
All students will be expected to have a number of business ideas and to turn up for college in suits, acting as if they are operating in the real boardroom of a company.
Those who successfully complete the course will earn a Level Three BTEC Diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and competition for places is expected to be fierce.
Jennifer Salahuddin, Head of Business and Professional Studies at the college, said: “The course will be set up to create the feeling that the students are working in a real business environment.
“Designs for the comtemporary, office-styled classrooms are already underway. “Students will be expected to deport themselves as if they were young executives.”
The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy is building a nationwide network of providers to transform attitudes to enterprise education.
Details of how to apply for the course are available on the college website, thecollege.co.uk or you can go along to open evenings tonight at Bournemouth sites or Tuesday February 7 at Poole sites.
