Drug prevention charity Hope UK visited the Dolphin Shopping Centre to educate shoppers about alcohol and drug awareness on Saturday.
Teenagers tested their knowledge of alcohol units and recommended drinking limits, while others had a chance to experience some of the effects of alcohol as they did tasks wearing ‘beer goggles’.
Local area representative Ann Galbraith said: “I was able to explain to a young man that adding a mixer to vodka does not reduce the amount of alcohol he is consuming.”
Hope UK is currently developing a team of voluntary drug educators, recruiting and training local people to deliver tailor-made drug education sessions and events in Poole and Bournemouth.
