THE Russian Ice Stars and Wild Rose are at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre this evening with their spectacular version of Cinderella.

The show, which is also on tomorrow, offers the thrill of a lavishly-staged classic fairy tale performed by an all-Russian cast of former European, world and Olympic standard skaters.

Take 14 tonnes of ice, kilometres of under-stage pipework, 1,400 litres of water and add a quality cast and you have the ingredients for an ice cool show.

The rink has been built on the stage of the Pavilion Theatre, enabling some of the world’s finest skaters to glide their way through one of the best loved fairytales.

With lavish sets and colourful costumes the tale unfolds in a two-hour spectacle that will entrance all ages.

The 22-strong ensemble has been making the most of the specially-constructed ice rink, using every inch of space, with any number of skilful and artistic displays to delight the audience.

None more so than the two main characters played by Valeria Vorobyeva (Cinderella) and Valdis Mintals (Prince Charming) who exude grace and style.
