I hate the bus. I hate a public bus. I hate a mini bus.

I absolutely detest the school bus.

For the 5 years of my life, whilst attending secondary school, I only caught the bus in the last term of my final year. Amber simply refused and had Mother Lovell carry her to school on her back, or demand her order me a taxi, because I simply am revolted by the state of the buses, and a minority of the people of which sit on them.

I am now a sixth former who has to stand at a bus stop with a bland yellow pole, could they at least decorate it with red and white stripes at Christmas to make it festive?

Or put some shelter so I don't have to stand up in the rain, and be approached by a strange man asking to 'share' my umbrella. Of course, the answer was 'No' because my mother taught me not to speak to strangers.

And to make matters worse, it was a bun fight to get onto the bus, literally. Kids were pushing and shoving me, and I, Amber Lovell, the person who was stood at the bus pole first, to get onto the bus to go to school always ended up the last to enter the bus doors. Honestly, I've never seen people so keen to get to school..

And then, (YES, THERE'S MORE) there is paying for the bus; £2.00 one way, or £3.00 for a return. WHY ARE CHILDREN BEING CHARGED AN ADULT FARE TO GET TO SCHOOL?! 'TIS CALLED PENALISATION, MY FRIENDS.

And then there's the journey….my oh my. You don’t even want to know the details, therefore I shall leave you with a humbling link, however the above is ‘not’ what I go to school for.

If I don't see you all before Christmas and Hanukkah, then have a Happy Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza. Stay safe, don't over eat, drive safely, wear your seatbelt and DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TALK TO STRANGERS.

LOVE, OVER AND OUT BOOM.

From Amber Lovell.
