THE first plane of Bournemouth Air Festival has landed in the town.
Except this one won’t be going anywhere – it’s the promotional Leopard jet that can be seen near St Paul’s Roundabout.
With three weeks to go to the festival, which takes place between August 18-21, the jet – on loan from Bournemouth Aviation Museum – has been put in place.
Event organisers are promising more flying this year than ever, including the Red Arrows, Vulcan, Breitling Wingwalkers and, new for 2011, the Tornado.
There will be plenty happening on the ground too, and this year sees two Night Air displays, on the Thursday and Friday evenings.
