A female front seat passenger in a car had to be cut out by fire fighters after a collision involving two cars at Dunyeats Road, Broadstone.
The accident happened shortly after 12noon and police closed a section of Gravel Hill up to the junction with Queen Anne Drive, causing traffic to queue.
The vehicles involved were a silver VW Golf registered to a Poole woman and a blue Suzuki Swift, also registered to a Poole woman.
A passenger in the Suzuki complained of neck pain and fire crews from Poole used cutting gear to free her.
