A NEW show is aiming to put the soul back into Bournemouth.
Arriving direct from the USA, The Magic of Soul and Motown features the music of Aretha Franklin, James Brown and Tina Turner.
Not to mention Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and more legendary soul stars. Opening on July 8 at the Bournemouth Pavilion the show spans the decades – from soul’s heady, 60s’ origins to the present day.
It boasts slick choreography, 16 dazzling costume changes and a superb live band authentically recreating the magic of soul and Motown.
“The Sixties was known as the soul explosion,” says show producer Michael Taylor.
“The songs were sublime, the vocals amazing.
“It takes a very special, talented cast to perform these songs with the depth of emotion, superb harmonies and quality of performance featured in The Magic of Soul and Motown.”
