A MAN was rescued by a neighbour following a fire at his home in Pimperne, near Blandford Forum on Wednesday evening.
The fire at a property in Berkeley Close started before 10pm in the ground floor lounge.
A man rescued from the house was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
The fire caused 50 per cent damage to the room with 50 per cent heat damage to the rest of the ground floor.
Investigations are continuing to establish the cause of the blaze.
