A SPECIAL regatta has been held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mudeford Sailing Club.
The small, family-friendly club operates from a Dutch barge moored next to Strides Boatyard on Fisherman’s Bank in Mudeford.
The barge is the third clubhouse craft to be moored at Fisherman’s Bank and over the past 50 years many people have helped to maintain and build the club to what it is today.
Mudeford Week, which takes place from Saturday, July 30, to Friday, August 5, is the highlight of the club’s racing calendar and attracts sailors from far and wide each day.
The club has also produced some high-achieving sailors with new members welcome.
