A SPECIAL concert in aid of Breast Cancer Care is set to take place at Centre Stage on September 9.

The concert will feature comedienne Rhona Cameron, musician Emma Payn and Christina Novelli also a musician and the daughter of chef Jean Christophe Novelli.

Organised by Poole probation officer Rachel Pattinson, who has had family members affected by breast cancer, she is attempting to climb Machu Picchu next year in aid of the charity.

The show in September promises to be a memorable night of comedy and music.

Rhona Cameron is one of the best stand up comedians in the UK and made an impact on the comedy scene in 1992, winning Channel 4's 'So You Think You're Funny' award.

A decade of sell-out Edinburgh Fringe shows and tours in the UK followed.

TV appearances include Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Graham Norton and The Frank Skinner Show.

Not to mention hosting four series of BBC2's pioneering Gaytime TV and in 2000 her first BBC sitcom series, Rhona.

Also on the bill is musician Christina Novelli who has been touring the UK extensively.

Stripped down and acoustic or with a full-on band, she’s proved the power of her singing, her songwriting and her stage persona and built a loyal and fanatical following, gaining momentum with every show.

Completing the night’s entertainment is singer/songwriter Emma Payn from Southampton.

She has recently supported Heather Peace and Midge Ure at gigs in the UK and is due to play the women’s festival GOGO in July this year.

She is also gaining a reputation for an excellent acoustic set, mesmerising audiences with her melodic music and haunting vocals.
