VOLUNTEERS aged 16-plus are needed to get rid of dangerous and unsightly rubbish from the New Forest during the annual spring clean week.
District councillor Edward Heron said not only does litter impact on the appearance of the area it can also be harmful to wildlife.
Organised events are taking place at Appleslade on March 5, Vereley (March 7), Shatterford (March 9), Broadley (March 11) and Dibden (March 13). Contact Alexis Reeve at the Forestry Commission on 023 8028 6840 or at alexis.reeve@forestry.gsi.gov.uk .
