THEY'VE threatened this for years and now they've gone and done it Bugz In the Attic have slipped out an album's worth of their own sound. And mighty fine it is too.

Taking a lead from the sweetest of '70s soul (check out the inspired retooling of Don't Stop The Music for evidence), they meld inventive songwriting with big beats and a deft ear for a hook.

Move Aside manages to slip a killer chorus between the wailing sirens and scruffy broken beats.

Good times anthem Consequences should be available free with every ice cream sold on beaches this summer; and Once Twice fuses Afro-beats with a Latin edge, sassy funk and slick jazz.

Worls Hurt meanwhile pushes trip hop further into the darkness but with a smile on its face. A treat then for ears and feet.
