WHEN Dorset Animal Workers Group supporter Della went on holiday to Rhodes, the last thing she needed was a sorry dog tale.
But gorgeous stray Lindy (plus her 13 puppies!) stole this animal lover’s heart, and meant she embarked on the long process of bringing the worn-out mum to England to join Della’s loving (human and canine) family.
Reasonably well told, this book is bound to tug the heart strings, describing as it does Lindy’s battles with various dangers – marauding cows, fast-flowing rivers, rare cancers – her incredible, gentle temperament, and her many adventures. It’s lovely, too, to see the cute pictures.
The only drawback is a slightly inflated cover price for such a short read.
