For the fourth year in succession a presentation ceremony has been held by Sunseeker International Limited at the Southampton Boat Show for apprentices achieving full papers as a marine engineer, marine electrical engineer or boat builder.

Sunsseker founder, Robert Braithwaite CBE, presented the certificates.

Mr Braitwaite said: “With so many key personnel at Sunseeker being ex-apprentices it proves the apprenticeship scheme is our lifeblood and is something which will be carrying on in the future.”

Apprenticeships are so important to Sunseeker that they have recently recruited 21 level two qualified apprentices from the Paragon Skills Marine Centre and will be taking them on to a full level three advanced apprenticeship. On top of this with support from the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) an additional 10 trainee laminators have been recruited and have started their apprenticeship at Osprey Quay on Portland.
