The Cuts Debate: Where should the axe fall?
As the knives are sharpened for big reductions in public spending, the Daily Echo is launching the great Cuts Debate next month.
We’ll be looking all the local public services including social care, libraries, highways and transport, schools, health and the police and asking where the cuts should fall and what the services will look like in future.
How much should councils do and how much should communities do for themselves?
